White Dwarf May 2013 - Review

White Dwarf May 2013 is out and so its time again to have a look over it and let you know what i think. The big release this month is the warhammer armies book: High Elves, while i’m not a massive fan of fantasy at the moment i’m still interested in having a look.

R.I.P and A Blow to Views...

With the removal of Nafkas blog thanks to games workshop, not only have we lost a great rumour source, role model for blogging  and generally hard working guy, the community has lost out even more.

Now that the blog is gone i have lost out on about 200 views, relying solely on people stumbling across my blog my accident of on a forum, he used to provide me with those views each friday. Not only that i don't have access the large amount of good blogs that he had on his blog roll. While i have followed a fair few of them, more and more keep appearing. Till now.

With the community losing this hub of activity there is a void, a hole for some one else to step up and take on the mantle. Now that is in no way me, but if any of you know of another blog that is attempting this i would like to support them how ever i can.

Do you guys know of any?

Sector 23... Eldar/Dark eldar vs Dark Angels 1500

Another game down the club and i face off against Dark angels in a 1500 point game of Big guns never tire with dawn of war deployment. Playing on the city fight table, and it proves to be quite an interesting game as we have a lot of line of sight blocking terrain. Unfortunately it doesn't hamper him as much as it does me...

Evolving list: Breeding a bigger beast

Its time again to have a look at my current list and see what i can do to it improve it once more. But a little different this time round as i have been asked a few times to play a larger game to which i have suggested we play 1500 instead. It would be good to have a set list for larger games instead of just cobbling 500 points onto an existing list. So click and see what i can come up with... 

Encounter in the waste... Eldar vs Chaos space marines 1750

I was invited to play on a friends new table, and to christen it properly we would have a large game, 1750 points. The game type was Capture the Relic with dawn of war deployment on a stunningly beautiful waste land with a toxic river running though the centre. Click to read.

Re-rolls and Warlords

I was just reading over the Tau codex and was interested in the warlord traits available to them. Now this was very interesting as half of them have to be re-rolled under certain circumstances. I found this very interesting, and a rule sprung to mind. You Can't Re-Roll a Re-roll...

Chaos Renegades: Starting the Heresey
