Painting Challenge: May 2014

April wasn’t good, I stopped doing anything after I built the veterans and couldn’t get back into the guard. I feel a little brake from the guard is in order, especially as I have to paint my eldar force for the council of war in Nottingham, and as I’m not 100% sure what I will be taking yet that’s a lot of eldar to paint.

Eldar vs Necrons 1500: Doom of the Past

Once again the Eldar of craftworld Dem-Kirath are forced to defend themselves against the threat of the Necrons, this time on a forest world. The game is the relic with vanguard strike deployment. In this 1500 point game which force will emerge victories (and for once both armies are fully painted!!!).

It’s odd, normally I have something to share or say on a Tuesday but this week I'm drawing a blank, nothing stands out this week for me to share. I am falling behind on painting as work is taking up most of my time (that happens unfortunately) and I am in a bit of a limbo about what list to take for council of war until Warhammer World gets back to me.

Eldar vs Tau 2000: Formation vs Super heavy

Craftworld Dem-Kirath take on the Tau in a game of Purge the alien, 2000 points. Its been a while since i played tau and this force even has a data slate, so i don't fancy my chances, but i have a lord of war for good measure, hopefully it will help take down the tau.

Painting Challenge: April 14 Update

It’s getting close to the end of April now so I thought I would share with all what I have got done so far. At the beginning of the month I set a very modest aim as I knew I would be busy this month, and I am very glad I did now. Thankfully I have painted what I wanted but the construction I wanted done is a little behind.

Eldar vs Ultramarines 1850: Rematch!

In a rematch of last week’s massacre the Eldar come back for another go at the Ultramarines. The army lists are different this game and might be able to get a different results (I hope!). The game is Emperors will with dawn of war deployment in this 1850 points game.

Codex Astra Militarum Review

I have managed to get my hands on a copy of the codex so though I would share my thoughts on the codex compared to the previous incarnation. But first I would like to say all though out the codex it calls the army the imperial guard, the two are interchangeable so at least we aren’t stuck calling the army by its stupid name and now have new players know what we are on about. Anyway onto the review.
