Rules mistakes: D-Weapons and Templates

During the council of war event we came across several rules issues with some of the newer rules and some that have changed or just gone since the last edition. Since reading over some of my battle reports from then event and checking the rules I think we may have made a few mistakes, they are probably stupid mistakes that you will all laugh at but I thought it would be worth going over them to get your input and maybe help someone out.

Board Games to watch: Zombicide

My love of games isn’t just restricted to 40k, I also enjoy computer games and board games, and I have to say a great board game I have played for a while is called Zombicide and currently the 3^rd instalment of the game is on kickstarter and I urge you guys to have a look, as it’s a great zombie survival game.

Council of war June 14: Game 3 Doubles 1500

 The third game of Council of War and this one’s different to the first two, this is a doubles game. The army consists of 1500 points split however you want between the two players. It must have two armies included so you can’t just have a single force org and split the units, each player must have their own units. The game is Eldar and Iyanden vs Iyanden and blood angels, with Purge the alien mission.

Painting Challenge July 2014

Back to the painting challenge and now I have a large chunk of my eldar painted I can move onto my other projects for a little while. Which means I’m going to go back to making and painting the Imperial Guard.

Council of War june 14: Game 2 Eldar vs Orks 1500

Game 2 and my Eldar face a horde of Orks joined with an Orky lord of war which isn't a Stompa. The Eldar must face a Kill Bursta in a 1500 point game of Crusade (4 objectives) with hammer and anvil deployment. The ork force is beautifully converted, you gotta check it out.

Codex Orks: Review

The first codex of 7^th edition has hit the shelves and its codex orks. It’s been 2 editions since the orks had a codex so I was expecting a major change for the boyz, but interestingly it wasn’t so much the rules that got changed but the who lay out of the codex. I will explain myself more after the jump.

Council of War june 14: Game 1 Eldar vs Ultramarines 1500

My first game of the Event and my Eldar face off against Ultramarines in a game of Emperors will with dawn of war deployment. While his list doesn’t look too intimidating it does include 2 fliers which could be a massive problem for me.
