Throne of Skulls Painting Challenge: Week 3

This week’s aim was to get 20 plaguebearers and the Herald of Nurgle painted. I didn’t have an real idea on how I was going to do this. Looking online I decided on a colour scheme that was very different from the renegades and heretics, a very different way of painting for a very different look. By having a different look, something that was hopefully going to be a bit ethereal, so the daemons didn’t look like they were quite there. Unfortunately this didn’t quite work out but I hope you guys like what I have done.

Renegades and Heretics vs The Imperium 1875: Foot of the Oppressor

One of the most common occurrences on the battle fields of the 41^st millennium, the Imperium attempt to stamp out a chaos uprising before it can take hold of a sector. In this game, the Imperium of man, represented by the elysian D-99 drop troopers, aided by the Tempestus Militarum and a Knight house, attack the forces of chaos. By this chaos force is just the humans of a planet unhappy with their Imperial oppressors seeking aid from the daemons of chaos. Its a 1875 point game of Tactical Escalation.

Last week I failed to post because I was rather busy trying to paint and a few things came up in life unfortunately which got in the way. But here is the update of my week 2 aim, the plague zombies.

Throne of Skulls Painting Challenge: Week 1

As I need to get my ass into gear I have already got a very large portion of the first weeks painting done, and it has been hell. This weeks task is to get 17 infantry painted, well I have 15 done, and I will start on the next 2 as soon as possible.

July 2015 Throne of Skulls: The Army list

You all may be wondering why I have been playing such odd points recently, 1875, a very strange points limit. Well its because they have been games in preparation for the July 2015 Throne of Skulls weekend event at games workshop Nottingham. Now the event will be using Mealstrom of war mission (hence the appearance of mealstrom of war missions recently) and all of the vehicles will count as having objective secured as well. So I'm expecting a lot of armour during the Event.

This time I face off against the new Eldar codex, using my Renegades and Heretics I will come face to face with a Wraithhost of Iyanden. The game is a 1875 point game of mealstrom of war, and who will win, the forces of chaos or the undead forces of the Eldar?

Chaos Renegades and Heretics: Painted chimera + Demolisher

After spending some time working on the eldar articles i though it was time i got back to painting my Renegades and Heretics as i am taking them to Throne of skulls in July. As the theme for the event is tanks, and all vehicles get objective secured i though i might as well get finishing my tanks.
