White Dwarf December 2012 - Review

So it’s that time of month again, we have another white dwarf magazine out, December 2012. The big news which everyone knows about is the release of the hobbit game (I say release, re-name would be more accurate) and to be honest, not much else.

What to paint next - Poll results

Last week i put out a poll on what you guys wanted to see me paint next, warp spiders, warlocks, war walkers or jet bikes. And the poll is now closed and results are in.

So i got a grand total of 14 votes, and 57% of the votes went for the war walkers. I gotta say i was surprised but the people have spoken, and i will do as you command. Keep an eye out for them in the future (future, not any time soon, im very slow at painting).

Renegade guard 500 point army

With my renegade guard sitting in pieces, the urge to put them together has slowly been building up. Before I waste any time or money on this army I want to have a list properly built so I know what I'm doing with it. So what do you think of the following list?

What should I paint next?

So with the Fire dragons finally finished i'm not 100% sure what i should paint. What is a guy to do when hes unsure? obviously open it up to the internet. So what do you think i should paint out of the following units?

Fire Dragons painted

So i have finally got my first squad of 6 fire dragons re-painted in my colour scheme, and they look ok. I'm not a great painter but they are table top standard which will do for me for now. For some reason they look darker than the rest of my models yet they have been painted the same way... cant explain it, but i don't think it matters much.

Just a little note, as i am doing all of my aspect warriors the same colour, instead of the myriad of colours GW does them i have painted the sash and stones the red/orange that signify fire dragons. It isn't much but i felt that it was needed.

Battle for your soul... Eldar/Dark Eldar vs Chaos space marines 1500 points

The pheonix lord finally gets to the battle field

Returning to my evolving list I decide to give it a spin against chaos space marines. We get purge the alien with dawn of war deployment. This would be a good test for the list as its going against the newest codex so let’s still how the eldar can cope against what I'm expecting to see 6^th edition turn into.

Second stage of evolution: the next step

So it’s that time again where I have to go over my list and see what I can do to improve it. This is always a bit of a struggle as I'm never sure what would be the obvious choice to improve the list, but here we go...
