An Overdue Project: Colossal Squig

A fair time ago i was gifted with a colossal squig from forgeworld, i sprayed it red then just left it alone for probably a year and a half (if not longer). It was my first test for liquid green stuff and it turned out ok. Well over the last few days i finally decided to paint it. And here he is in all his glory!

Tyranids vs Dark Angels 1500: Ravens Fury

I attempt to use the tyranids again, but a rather different army, a faster army, and one that should hopefully not fail every single charge it attempts to make! In this game the tyranids face off against the dark angels in a 1500 point game of Emperors will, with dawn of war deployment.

This Coming month on Skulkers Surprise

Over the month of February skulkers surprise will be undergoing some chances, all of which I hope will be for the better. Unfortunately over this month it means that I will not be able to post as regularly as I would like, but fear not it won’t be a permanent thing, just until march. This means I will just be posting on a Friday for the rest of the month, and not every one of them will be a battle report, I hope you guys won’t mind. By doing this it means I will have more time to focus on a few other things, and hopefully prepare for the months afterwards.

Tyranids vs Imperial Fists with Imperial guard 1500: Breaking the Wave

After my friend let me borrow his tyranids to play around with the new codex I immediately challenged someone who I knew would love to face a swarm of nids. This game was a 1500 point game of Purge the Alien with dawn of war deployment, the Tyranids face the Imperial fists with imperial guard allies, wish me luck.

Apocalypse pictures: Jan 2014

These are the pictures from my recent apocalypse game, the sides each had 6000 points (2 Teams of 3 players) and we rolled on the apocalypse mission table and ended up playing Final Assault, but we didn't use the Unnatural Disasters table as we had enough to do in our time limit (and we didn't have the resources). 

Wraithknight Finished/Come the Apocalypse

I have just about finished the wraithknight in time for the apocalyspe game, and here he is for you all to see. While I am quite happy with him he does unfortunatly look a bit plain and im still not 100% happy with his 'face'. But still I can do more after the game.

Borrowed Nids

This rather large force of tyranids belongs to a friend of mine and he has very generously let me borrow it for the time being to test out the new nids codex. I will probably only have a game or two with them before going back to my eldar, but a bit of a change is always fun.
