Finally i'm starting work on my forgeworld Colossal Squig. This beautiful model should be a joy to work on and hopefully shouldn't take all that long. Knowing how long i take to paint though, it will probably take an age.

Green tide... Eldar vs Orks 1500

Last week I finally decided to go and play at my local gaming store as they have started a late night gaming which I can easily get to. Not knowing what the attitude towards gaming is like there I decided not to use my evolving list and instead took a very simple list with no allies. I played against an ork army in a game of purge the alien 1500 points.

Of Wraiths and Beasts... Eldar/Dark Eldar vs Tyranids 1500 points

Regardless of my loss last game, I carry on trying my wraithstar list, as I believe that it can do better if I'm smart. This game I am up against a tyranid list. It’s another game of the scourging, 1500 points with dawn of war deployment. Place your bets now as to the rest.

Dark Angels: Sacred Standard of Devestation

I just re-read my codex dark angels i found this little beauty. For those of you who don't know what it is, its a banner that lets all units within 6 inches make their bolters salvo 2/4. Now is it me or is that over the top? Take this with 3 units of 10 man tactical squads and hold an objective and no one is going to be able to weather 120 bolter shots! And its only 65 points... granted you have to buy a command squad to get it but i think its potentially very powerful.

Imagine a 1000 game, or something just as low. you come across a cheap HQ, command squad and then 4 units of tactical marines... that's going to be hard to shift in such a low points game. Hell in a large game it will make quite the flank holder, especially if its behind a aigis defense line.

Now i don't play dark angels (wish i did now) so what do you guys think? would this be viable?

Ripper Bolgrot Finished (finally)

So here is the finished product, i know it has taken ages to paint the guy but i am very happy with the rest. He's not golden demon standard by any stretch of the imagination, but i'm happy with him. I guess i just need to paint up a Orc team (or goblin) to go with him now.

I gave him number 16 as he's a star player, so this way he can join any team with ease (i hope). Was awkward doing the 16 free hand, irritating.

It was a nice change from painting purple again, but before i go back to painting more eldar i had a surprise xmas gift i want to paint. A colossal Squig from forgeworld. Its going to be fun to paint i hope.

The dead walk again... Eldar vs Imperial guard 1500 points

White Dwarf January 2013 - Review

White dwarf January 2013 is now out, a little later than normal (in the actual month the magazine says) and once again we get a poster... this one is a hobbit product list. It’s just a obvious way to try and promote hobbit sales but there you go. Got to sell plastic crack somehow.

List Revolution: Mixing it up!

Now that its a new year, I decided to mix up my army for my next few games. While in the past I have been slowly evolving my list I have taken a different approach and gone with a new direction. I just wanted a change more than anything else and we shall see.

So i though i would have my first post of the new year the second it turns into 2013. It just feels like a good idea to me. Lets start how i mean to go on and what not. Anyway i am setting up my goals for 2013 here for you all to see, allowing you to hassle me if i fall behind on something you think might be a good idea.
