40K Rules Issues: Jink

Quite an important rule change that occurred during the transition between 6^th and 7^th was the massive change to jink. While it doesn’t appear to be a very important rule it can be used by such a large number of units (bikes, skimmers and fliers) and can be quite an important factor during the game.

Painting Challange July 14: Update

It’s getting close to the end of the month so I thought I would show you all where about I am up to with the painting. My aims for this month was 10 vets, a chimera and start a heavy weapons team so click and I will show you how I have got on.

Eldar vs Orks 1500: Rising Sunz

The Hordes of the Evil sunz need to be contained, and it’s down to the Warhost of spiritseer Antaris the warp forged to cull the beasts. This is a 1500 point game of the emperors will with vanguard strike deployment between Codex Orks (no supplement) and Codex Eldar (no supplement).

Council of War Game 4: Imperium vs Xenos 8,000 points!!!

On the second day of the event only 1 game remained, the big team game. This was an 8k a side game which used a special force organisation chart which was basically 4 combined arms detachments. However you didn’t get any benefits from it and you could choose your force as an unbound list BUT you still had to conform to the chart. The only exception to this was you could add as many knights that you wanted as they hadn’t accounted for them after you had filled up your mandatory slots.

New Realm of Battle board pictures

Here are a few pictures of the new realm of battle board that will be coming out soon. I'm sure you have probably seen them already but its always good to share them. I do think its a great product fro teh look of it, might even be tempted to get one myself for the right price. 

City fight tables never go down badly

While the table is nice what does bother me is the number of aquilas all over the place, it looks a little impractical and cuts down where you can place your terrain. But it might just be a slight raise or just set in and not be a problem at all. We will have to wait and see.

Rules mistakes: D-Weapons and Templates

During the council of war event we came across several rules issues with some of the newer rules and some that have changed or just gone since the last edition. Since reading over some of my battle reports from then event and checking the rules I think we may have made a few mistakes, they are probably stupid mistakes that you will all laugh at but I thought it would be worth going over them to get your input and maybe help someone out.

Board Games to watch: Zombicide

My love of games isn’t just restricted to 40k, I also enjoy computer games and board games, and I have to say a great board game I have played for a while is called Zombicide and currently the 3^rd instalment of the game is on kickstarter and I urge you guys to have a look, as it’s a great zombie survival game.
